My personal journey about Adventist Faith. Learning true faith.
The Author has remained in the Adventist Faith since my baptism by Pastor Cole in 1981 at Armidale Church NSW. In those days the baptismal vow was more simple and the Adventist Faith ran more or less as our Prophet Ellen White wanted it, with Thank Offering box and Sin Offering box along with weekly questions about the number of people helped and daily Bible studies given. However over time, the Adventist Faith has changed.
If you ask an Adventist, what is faith, he or she will tell you:
Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Wow, that is a really good definition, I might reply, but How do you get faith?
The Adventist will typically reply, faith is a gift from God. And they would say:
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Ro 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Well done I reply, so how do you get more and more of this gift of faith, say from Jesus?
The Adventist will reply, you get more and more faith, by trusting in Jesus, and reading more and more about Jesus and what he did for us, so that is why we have Sabbath School classes so all around the world we learn more knowledge about Jesus, by hearing His words of God.
I see. So faith increases as we hear more and more about His Words of God. And Jesus was the Word of God demonstrating faith on earth, leaving us an example to do as Jesus did.
Da 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
Here we see in the last days a prophecy that knowledge shall increase. The Hebrew word behind this English word is this:
Knowledge: Strong’s 1847, in Ancient Hebrew the letters of this word reads “Through the door the eye sees an important mark”
The important marks were typically written by hand as a cross shape, so through the door of heaven’s home, we look at the cross and the important truths shown to us through this door.
This word also refers to scientists looking through the doors of the organisms to understand the important marks of cellular organization. Some scientists have looked through the doors of our universe to understand more about the physical math marks and other marks we might see through our telescopes.
So yes indeed mankind has increased in knowledge, as we see into the doors of mysteries trying to fathom the important marks we see there.
Does this allow our faith to increase, learning more about the important marks of Jesus? What does the Bible teach about this idea?
Lu 18:8 ... Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
And this prophecy
Am 8:11 ¶ Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.
Sounds to me that faith is given by God to less and less people in the end of time? But why?
Isa 10:19 And the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them.
And this is what Ellen White wrote:
EGW: “The young want just what they have not; namely, religion. Nothing can take the place of this. Profession alone is nothing. Names are registered upon the church-books upon earth, but not in the book of life. I saw that there is not one in twenty of the youth who knows what experimental religion is. ..—Testimonies for the Church 1:503-505. {MYP 383.3}
Not one in twenty of those who have a good standing with Seventh-day Adventists is living out the self-sacrificing principles of the word of God.{1T 632.2}
There are lessons of the highest importance that not one in twenty of those who claim to be children of God have yet learned. .... That which individuals need is practical godliness. {RH June 28, 1887, par. 2}
I saw that there is not one in twenty that knows what experimental religion is. {T12 1.1}
There is not one in twenty who knows the beauty, the real essence, of Christ’s ministry. They are to find it out. Then they will become partakers of the rich fruit of His teachings. Ms 104, 1898, par. 16
There is in the Hebrew scriptures another word also meaning knowledge:
Know: Strong’s 3045, “The active hands through the door sees”
When you look at verses with this word you see things like
Ge 3:22 ¶ And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil:
Ge 4:1 ¶ And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived,
so the best English word meaning for all contexts, is to be “intimate”
Here is a good example of this word “yada” in the NT teachings Jesus spoke
Mt 25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
So just looking through the door to learn about important truths of Jesus, is not enough.
We have to become intimate with Him. Notice how this intimacy is achieved in the parable of the foolish virgins:
Mt 25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
Verily is a word meaning faith. It is written in Greek using Hebrew spelling. So the word is actually the Hebrew word “aman”.
Here is the same word used many times:
Ps 89:52 Blessed be the LORD for evermore. Amen, and Amen.
And through this prayer we find
Ps 89:37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven.
So the use of this word is somebody being a faithful witness to things said or spoken.
Strong’s 539 also 540, “The strong flow over the nations” meaning in English “affirming faith”
So is there a simpler meaning for faith ?
Ex 16:15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat.
Notice the manna is Greek word, the Hebrew word is man,
Strong’s 4478: “The flow over the nations” meaning “what is it?”
So Faith is a “flow over the nations” that Israel said “what is it”? They didn’t know. It was called the bread of heaven. It was eaten as food and cooked like cake.
Ex 16:4 Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.
Here is the poetry simile “rain bread” referring to the teachings of the Bible.
Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (KJV)
Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Affirming faith, Affirming faith, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (Ancient Hebrew)
So faith begins when man is born again.
The physical similes of faith, is the raining of bread from heaven, that Israel called “what is it” that was heavenly food and could be cooked as cakes and tasted sweet.
Now Jesus is speaking of another real thing that must be spiritually understood. He is going to explain what the bread from heaven is:
Joh 3:9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
Obviously Nicodemus did not understand faith.
Joh 3:12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? (KJV)
Sadly the word “believe” is a fuzzy word meaning...
Joh 3:12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye have no faith, how shall ye have faith if I tell you of heavenly things? (Ancient Hebrew)
Obviously Nicodemus had no faith. Like a typical Jew he saw only the earthly things and took the words at an earthly level, he did not understand heavenly things and words that GOD understands and uses, that are beyond mere matter.
Joh 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (KJV)
Now lets write this passage using Hebrew words
Joh 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the “burning” (saraph) in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: {who is also a “burning” (saraph)}
15 That whosoever has faith in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever has faith in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Dear readers have you ever considered love is a “burning” ? But the Opposer who now lacks this love function has changed his burning into something else, that sadly was given as a needle injection during 2020 to millions across the world, deceiving many ? So thousands now die because their heart is burning from snake venom - a forked fake love, unlike the burning love that comes from the Saraph Son of God.
Saraph: Strong’s 8314 “The outgrowth from the Head of the Mouth” comes in both verb and noun actions, the idea of “burning/burning-one” We see the outgrowth from the head of the serpent’s mouth, are fangs that make false doctrines of lust, passion and burning. While Divine Burning Son of God makes an outgrowth from his mouth, to speak and do in human form, for GOD came down on the earth to demonstrate faith as an outgrowth of His mouth, in human form.
Question: How is the second birth, based on faith; achieved?
Jesus does not answer this question, because it is sufficiently answered already in the former teachings. Where in the OT is there a Bible verse about the second birth process, based on faith?
Ps 51:6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: (KJV)
Hear David prays for “truth” in the inward parts of his body, he knows sin and sin-offerings for his sins, have spoiled his body, his heart and mind.
Truth: Strong’s 571 : “Strong flow over the nations (towards) an important mark” has this meaning in English “truth affirms faith”
Ps 51:6 Behold, thou desirest “truth affirming faith” in the inward parts: (Ancient Hebrew)
David recognizes his inward parts lack something, and asks for a second birth based on faith as a gift from God.
Ge 24:27 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his “truth affirming faith”: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master's brethren.
So how did the animals of creation come into existence?
Ps 33:6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
The Adventist would not investigate the Hebrew behind these words, but there is a three fold process in getting the animals of Creation into existence, the WORD is first spoken by a Creator, than the Ruwach - the Holy Spirit does what the WORD asks for, and finally carries the flow of the PROVIDER FATHER, so that asked for becomes a reality.
Notice the same process of creation happens with the second birth:
Ps 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God “Family power of elohiym” ; and renew a right spirit “medium” within me.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit “holy grand medium” from me.
Question: How does this faith flow function?
Notice the poetry parallel of the first use of this faith word in the OT?
Ex 17:12 But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
We see here three human beings in masculine form, one acting as a Provider of Power and the other two Responding to the Provider, by supporting His arms.
Notice our Hebrew English Translator says, the only human who ever wrote correctly about the process of faith:
EGW: "Happy the minister who has a faithful Aaron and Hur to strengthen his hands when they become weary and to hold them up by faith and prayer. Such a support is a powerful aid to the servant of Christ in his work and will often make the cause of truth to triumph gloriously. {4T 531.2
Notice the word in Ancient Hebrew:
Strong’s 529, “The strong flow, secure; over the nations”
“The strong flow” is the Hebrew word for “mother” or more correctly the Responder.
The Hebrew tent-peg letter meaning secure, is the meaning of the Father, or correctly the Provider.
Let me prove these Hebrew word meanings are correct, by this principle
Song 6:11 I went down into the garden of nuts to see the “AB” of the valley...
Ge 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his “AB” and his mother,
What English word can mean a fruit tree but not an earthly father, but an earthly father and a fruit tree can be the same function?
Hebrew words always have a single basic meaning regardless of context, is a truth from Edenic rules of language, but negated by the traditions and precepts of men. Do not trust in polysemy, a big word meaning word meanings are dictated by context.
The answer is provider.
A fruit tree is a provider. A father is a provider. But fruit trees are not fathers.
So the broader meaning of “AB” the “Strong Home” is “provider”.
So in our parallel poetry picture of Moses, Aaron and Hur, we have one provider and two responders. Notice they are pictured as masculine responders.
When the translators translate the Hebrew into English, they wrote about the two divine agents of GOD, as angels. So we have two responders, both angels, one with his wings and the other with her wings.
Here is some typical verses in Scripture:
Jer 48:40 For thus saith the LORD; Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread his wings over Moab.
Mal 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings;
Ge 16:7 ¶ And the angel of the LORD found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur.
Notice the parallel
Joh 4:7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
Jesus-YHWH is referenced in the OT as an “angel of the LORD” with “His wings”
Ex 3:2 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush...
So the angel of the Lord is not a cherub, but the YHWH also termed God, and God called unto Moses out of the midst of the bush...
Where is this two angel parallel presented with a YHWH on earth?
Ge 18:2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,
Here “ABraham” sees three men walking who are later like angels, but one is the YHWH, with two cherubim with Him. So we have one provider and two responders.
Now the verses of an angel with her wings:
Ho 4:19 The wind hath bound her up in her wings,
And
De 32:11 As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings,
But isn’t the eagle a simile of Jesus and his wings, as a responder? Yes
But there is also this verse
Ge 1:2 And the Spirit of God “fluttered” upon the face of the waters.
And there is this verse where both comforters or responders are referenced together by name
Isa 63:9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. 10 But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit:
Which angel is the angel of his presence? The angel with his wings, or the angel with her wings, or both? They both respond to Israel with responding love.
Where else is the Divine members of Elohiym written together with wings?
Ps 91:1 ¶ He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
We need to consider the Hebrew under these words:
The Father Provider is often written as the Most High.
The Mother Responder is written as the Shadday.
The term shadow tells you that there must be two Divine Beings here because you cannot make a shadow from one Light Source. You require two Beings, one is functioning as the light source and the other Being partially “filters or blocks” the light source making a shadow. (Actually there are two shadows made this way but that is another story)
Notice what happens to humans under the shadow of the Most High.
Ps 91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his “truth affirming faith” shall be thy shield and buckler.
Notice the process of faith is written here. Does the Most High have wings? Not that I know of, but the Shadday does. So why is this written as “his wings”? Two reasons, first the grammar case of Shadday is masculine, and second the power making the shadow comes from providing love, the Shadday is only responding, so as the hymn sings “under his wings I am safely abiding... “
The same can be said of “help-meet” the OT word for “comforter” in the NT. The word is masculine in grammar case. Does this mean GOD gave a help-meet to Adam who was a provider of love? No! She was a responder of love, but her responding comes from his providing of love. Confused?
Try to understand this poetry simile I wrote as a 16 year old person, inspired just a little I feel from God, who inspires all of us, if we allow this.
"Love is a river, And to this young wife, It flows feverishly through her life”.
“Love is a river, a dam fed you some. Clear was it’s water, traditionally done.”
Notice the similes of wife and husband. The wife is a simile of the water, the husband a simile of the dam. Love is a simile of a river.
Just listening to Matt McClure latest song, River Lead me On. The river is as simile of the River of Life, a simile of the Holy Spirit and the faith that flows from God into humans.
Question: What function is the husband as a dam?
Answer: To control, store and release so there is a constant flow of love from the wife.
The poem is suggesting his love functions to store and control and release his love, so that she responds to his love, with a love of responding.
That is why the breast, the comforter and the Shadday are written as masculine grammar case words. It also explains why the word “ruwach” meaning “medium” is a feminine grammar case word, because the medium responds, in other words carries the powers of providers.
How many women today would agree with this model of providers providing and responders responding? Can’t women also be providers? Well they can be, but can this lead to dysfunction within the home? Do we understand the balance of functions?
Summary so far: -
1) We have learned faith is a “flow over the nations”
2) What is it? Nobody knows. Faith is difficult to fathom. Faith is a created flow.
3) This flow is a flow of responding love and providing love over the nations.
4) This flow of faith is typified as two Comforters supporting the Grand Provider.
Finally, how do we get this faith, as steps of a process? Does the Bible teachings teach this?
========
In order to answer this question we must look at the name of the Son of God and what his function was for humans who sinned?
Mt 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. (KJV) Hmm? fuzzy...
What would this be in Hebrew? Question: Why must be look at the words in Hebrew, isn’t English good enough? Sure it is, though fuzzy the confusion GOD intended upon His words is for a reason.
Isa 29:12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.
13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
It is much more fun to discover things than to be spoon fed. Gold is precious because it is rare and hard to discover and find. Poetry pictures can be both simple to make comparisons of the material world to the heavenly world, or allow people to doubt and become confused. Also poetry pictures allow us to see things differently, so it does not really matter how much truth you get, only that you live by what you receive with a glad heart. And remember God is a personal power interested in you wherever you are in your life and whatever you are doing.
The Bible makes a prophecy concerning the Scriptures being written in another tongue:-
Isa 28:11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
A new Bible goes out with new stammering lips, sure it is refreshing to read things in English or Greek, but still the people would hot hear.
So by reading the teachings back in Hebrew we get the word meanings in their original Edenic sense as best we can do this, so we can have greater understandings of things.
Thus the former rains help the latter rains with understanding the harvest of fruit.
Ho 6:3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
What is Jesus as a Hebrew word function and name?
Mt 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Yashah: for he shall yasha his people from their sins. (Ancient Hebrew)
Where is this idea in the former rains?
Isa 63:8 For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour “yasha”.
Saviour: Strong’s 3467, “the active hands pressing the eye” comes in two forms both verb and noun meaning in English as “saving/Saviour”.
Why is the active hand ready pressing unto the eyes? Because He is ready watching and looking for opportunities to rescue those in trouble, seeking help, like a Lifesaver does at the beach with swimmers in the ocean. Like a Shepherd would build a shelter and with keen eyes watch over His sheep on the pastures looking for sheep in need of help, with active hands ready to rescue.
This function is also required for a sinless heaven, because of this verse in the Scroll of Yasha written as a message of Yashah about salvation:
Ho 13:4 Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.
Here the first of the ten words is repeated with an added word “yasha”.
Question: what is there in a sinless domain, do we need to claim the precious promise for a Yasha every day?
First are the ten words really based on faith?
Ps 119:86 All thy commandments are faithful...
Yes. OK, so are the commandments of faith really eternal ?
Ps 119:142 ¶ Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the “truth affirming faith”.
Ps 119:152 ¶ Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.
Ps 119:151 Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are “truth affirming faith”.
Wow! So what are the steps of getting this faith as a gift, creating in me the renewal of my second birth, so I may become like Jesus and walk in faith as He walked? Where does Yashah explain the steps of this process?
The entire scroll of Yasha is about “taking” a wife of whoredom and making a marriage out of us in the salvational process. How can I give up on you, Yashah says, I am God not man, my love is more gracious. At the end of the scroll comes the simple words of this process:
Yasha 14:2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.
First we must “take takings with us as words”
First we must understand the Hebrew word in two forms meaning “take/taking”.
Strong’s 3947, “The Authority Unknown Outside” comes in two actions meaning in English as “take/taking”.
Let’s try some verses for this word:
Ge 2:15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden
Ps 18:16 He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.
Ps 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me
De 32:2 My doctrine “takings” shall drop as the rain,
Pr 1:5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning “takings”;
Pr 9:9 ...teach a just man, and he will increase in learning “takings”.
Isa 29:24 They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, ...shall learn doctrine “takings”.
So these things that are unknown to us, outside of us, we take and increase in our takings, as words, perhaps we become more wise, to read into the Bible, words we wish to take?
Now lets ask our Hebrew English translator for help:
EGW” God means we shall trust in Him and enjoy His goodness. He lays out day by day before us and we must have eyes and perceptive powers to take these things in. However great and glorious the full and perfect deliverance from evil we shall realize in heaven, it is not all to be kept for the time of final deliverance. God brings it into our present life. We need daily to cultivate faith in a present Saviour. Trusting in a power out of and above ourselves, exercising faith in unseen support and power which is waiting the demand of the needy and dependent, we can trust amid clouds as well as sunshine, singing of present deliverance and present enjoyment of His love. The life we now live must be by faith in the Son of God. {TDG 62.2}
Notice the messages of Ellen White "Trusting in a power out of and above ourselves, exercising faith in unseen support and power.
She is explaining what “take/takings” mean! “The Authority Unknown Outside” So we are trusting in a power outside of ourselves, exercising faith in unseen support and power. Wow.
What does Ellen White term these “take/takings as words” ?
EGW” Just so has God given us the precious promises throughout his word. The Scriptures are open to us as the garden of God, and their promises are as fragrant flowers blooming all over that garden. God especially calls our attention to the very ones that are appropriate for us. In these promises we may discern the character of God, and read his love to us. They are the ground upon which our faith rests, the support and strength of our faith and hope; and through these we are to delight our souls in God, and breathe in the fragrance of heaven. Through the precious promises he withdraws the veil from the future, and gives us glimpses of the things which he has prepared for those who love him. And yet “eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” {RH October 11, 1887, par. 8}
Mrs White calls the “take/takings as words” as “precious promises” or what the Author terms “faith promises”.
EGW” Hold fast to the hand of Him who can bless and heal if He sees that it is for your present and eternal good. And now, my brother and sister, while you are both alive, take this precious time to appropriate by faith to yourselves the precious promises of the Word of God. I am thankful that you are both presenting yourselves as humble seekers for the pardon of all sin. This is your privilege. Do not disbelieve. {2SM 255.2
Here she uses the term “precious promises”. But she introduces as very difficult English word, “appropriate by faith to yourselves the precious promises”
What does ‘appropriate by faith’ mean?
EGW” Our faith in God’s precious promises should grow every day. If we hold the victory over the powers of darkness it must be by constant, persevering watchfulness and almost unceasing prayer. It must be an every day work. If we grow in grace and in knowledge of the truth, we must have the words of our mouth select, and seasoned with grace. God will help in our efforts. Angels will watch over us, and our soul will be like a watered garden. {RH January 10, 1856, par. 14}
Notice the amazing language and Hebrew English context she writes “the words of our mouth select” ? This is explaining the “take takings as words” , we are to select certain words in the teachings as precious promises.
EGW” The most precious promises of God are to be claimed, and held fast, by the exercise of faith. .... Take God’s promises as your own, plead them before him as his own words; and you will receive fullness of joy. {RH September 11, 1888, par. 11}
This is explaining the “take takings as words” , we are to select certain words in the teachings as precious promises.
EGW: "“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” This prayer is appropriate for every soul, and at any time and in every place may be offered to God in the name and through the merit of Christ. The thought that God can take a poor, sinful, sorrowful human being, and so transform him by grace that he may become an heir of God and joint heir with Jesus, is almost too great for our comprehension. If the sinner comes to God confessing his sin, and believing in Christ as his personal Saviour, he will be accepted; for the word of God is sure. It is yea and amen. ... {YI January 19, 1893, par. 1}
Mrs White does not explain the process of “appropriate by faith” nor does the Scripture.
The term refers to the creative functions of the Holy Spirit, as the second birth process is the redevelopment of the character of the human in the compassion-centre of the Holy Spirit.
So we have tried to explain the “Authority unknown outside”, what is the next step of faith as a process?
Ho 14:2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him,...
We speak those words in our mouth select by praying or speaking to Jesus...
and wait for the “mouth head” of lips to bear the fruits of the power you asked for...
============
Let me give you some examples of practical godliness of faith, hope in the unknown powers of God flowing over the nations of humans.
(1)
Mr 5:31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
What precious promise did this woman claim, by touching his wings?
Mal 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings;
The Saviour walked with a garment that had blue ribbons attached to them looking like little wings. She she claimed the takings from the teachings, that the Saviour would come with healing in His wings. So she pressed outwards with her finger (an act of surrender) and touched His wings, and immediately received by faith a flow of the power from God.
(2)
Mt 9:27 ¶ And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.
28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Do you have faith that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
So the blind men were able to be healed because of their faith in the precious promise that spoke or to Jesus, supporting His words that have power...
What words did the blind speak?
Isa 42:7 To open the blind eyes,....
or
Isa 61:1 ¶ The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
We are all bound in the prison house, our bodies trap us with our fallen nature because of sin.
(3)
Ac 14:8 ¶ And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:
9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
What precious promises were going inside the head of this cripple?
Ac 14:7 And there they preached the gospel.
We are not told explicitly, but the gospel was preached with power by Paul.
(4)
Mt 8:9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
Faith is the process of supporting the words of some superior power greater than yourself. The Roman centurion had soldiers under him that lived and did according to his very words, and the soldiers supported him implicitly. The centurion asked Jesus to speak the word only, and the flow of power would come. He understood the process of support in superior power.
(5) If I walk into a food place and say “Lord lead me not into things dysfunctional, I will avoid the cake with sugar, the GMO foods and such nasty foods, but if I don’t speak the words, I will choose what my stomach desires, which is not of faith.
(6) If I say in prayer supporting His precious promises “Lord your words, not mine I speak” I will immediately speak words of God unto others, but if I don’t speak these words, I will simply speak what my human powers of self will speak, making myself miss the flow of wisdom from God, and thus sin.
When you “take taking as words”, those words do not have to be the exact entire Bible verse, or the Hebrew word meanings, they are “your takings as words”, you are familiar with the words of God and have studied them before, and now you support God by speaking of these words, and hoping the unknown powers of God will empower you as you have asked it to do, and you will do His doings in you, so you will become a witness that God is flowing in you daily because you asked.
Like the new and latest song of McClure, O river, lead me on.
Like the song “Lord I wanna know what love me, I want you to show me”
Like the hymn, Breath on me breath of God, fill me with life anew, that I may do what thou wouldst do and live how thou wouldst live.
Now go and do faith with child like doings. Learn to develop your asking and reach for deeper and deeper requests of God. As you learn more faith, there is a time for prayer and fasting, so there is much to learn and be trained by our Comforters.
Do not get discouraged if your speaking of precious promises does not deliver the Divine powers you asked for in prayer. There should be in most cases, an immediate power flowing, empowering you to do whatever you ask. Be persistent. Repent previous sins, if you feel God is asking you to do this, for repentance is a gift from God as well. Maybe you have too many weeds in your life, or your soil is too shallow, or the tribulations too hot. Learn to speak to God and hear God as a small voice talk back to you.
If you don’t hear God talking to you, claim this precious promise:
Isa 30:21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it,
Try “Lord let my conscience speak to me” Ro 2:15
1Ki 19:12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
Try” Lord be my still small voice”
Hear is some advice from James about those experimenting with faith:
Jas 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
It is necessary to read and know Bible verses, and memorize certain words as precious promises. Do not doubt what you ask will not come to pass. Do not be unstable with God. He knows what you need before you ask. Also be careful what you ask for.
Ga 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Try “Lord show me what Bible promise I need today” Close your eyes and with your finger open the Bible to a passage God will guide you to memorize as a precious promise.
Remember to ask first, do not seek God with a human finger only, otherwise the Opposer will guide you to some worthless promise. When you ask in faith, the finger is guided immediately by an “unknown authority outside” of yourself.
Here is a common precious promise God showed me for many years, I never liked as a child learning to have faith in Him:
Jer 31:18 ¶ I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus; Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art the LORD my God. (KJV)
Or in the NIV
"I have surely heard Ephraim's moaning: `You disciplined me like an unruly calf, and I have been disciplined. Restore me, and I will return, because you are the LORD my God. After I strayed, I repented; after I came to understand, I beat my breast. I was ashamed and humiliated because I bore the disgrace of my youth.
This precious promise is about GOD wanting us to be yoked to Jesus so we learn how to walk in faith correctly meeting each need with the correct precious promise. Often we are unruly as a calf, head strong and head mouthed. We bear the disgrace of our youth, meaning we lack experience and sin because we fail to understand things about ourselves.
In my Christian marriage, how does a gender male deal with orgone energy that builds up naturally and your wife is too tired, or makes excuses because you embarrassed her socially, so you lack the sexual release you need and so your biological energy becomes dysfunctional and so you find masturbation the only way to deal with emotional and physical problems from your wife who does not love you correctly with responding love?
Recently I found this precious promise in the ten words of faith. “No adultery” is the negative command. What is the precious promise for this moral law?
God directed me to understand this is about “no biological urge”. So by claiming this precious promise “no urges”, the whole problem of biological urges and building of energy simply vanishes as your speak this precious promise to God. Wow, are all our problems so simple and so immediate? This faith principle broadly about “building relationships”. Yes that is true, but the most important relationships we must build first is between you and God. So yes there is a precious promise for that too.
Some may consider the moral law are written like that in heaven throughout countless ages?
Ex 20:2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage
The first of the ten words, has “egypt” and “house of bondage” both of these concepts did not exist in the eternal sinless domain of heaven. So one has to discover what the precious promises of faith are in the ten words.
Eze 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
The chief cherub was in charge to walk up and down among these stones of fire and guard the foundation principles of faith. His mind began to doubt, why are we all required to support these faith promises of God, what would happen if we don’t support them?
We also are free to develop as unique beings because we may not all ask for power flows in the same way. We are different with different talents and needs and wants. So our character development based on faith promises of love will be different.
Pr 16:9 ¶ A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
So plan your course, seek precious promises you like , and say them to God supporting His power, so that you develop in the way you want to. The LORD directs your steps because you ask specifically for different power for different needs. Thus it is important to learn as much Scripture as possible, to memorize precious promises you need in your life.
If you can’t get out of bed early to read His words, try this precious promise “Jer 33:3 Call on me and I will answer you.” Ask God to wake you at any time you specify.
If your eye has trouble with eye candy, ask this precious promise “Lord keep my eye single” or “lead me not into temptation” or “resist the Devil and He will flee from you”
Your mind is busy fighting the good fight of faith, supporting Jesus and His words.
As you get more successful with private miracles of His grace, expand your faith to include helping others and praying for others who do not understand the faith process of God. Not all will accept you because their world view does not see God, it is foolishness to them. No amount of evidence or miracles of faith will sway their minds, so ask God to send you only those who are ready for His faith. Fervent prayer and fasting trains you to focus intently upon God and develop true meekness, so your faith becomes stronger publicly for Jesus.
Shalom
EGW: “The young want just what they have not; namely, religion. Nothing can take the place of this. Profession alone is nothing. Names are registered upon the church-books upon earth, but not in the book of life. I saw that there is not one in twenty of the youth who knows what experimental religion is. ..—Testimonies for the Church 1:503-505. {MYP 383.3}
Not one in twenty of those who have a good standing with Seventh-day Adventists is living out the self-sacrificing principles of the word of God.{1T 632.2}
There are lessons of the highest importance that not one in twenty of those who claim to be children of God have yet learned. .... That which individuals need is practical godliness. {RH June 28, 1887, par. 2}
I saw that there is not one in twenty that knows what experimental religion is. {T12 1.1}
We have to have "active hands through the door of heaven and truly look " at Jesus with faith.
Joh 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the “burning” (saraph) in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: {who is also a “burning” (saraph)}
Here Abraham’s master is using the faith of Abraham to be passed unto himself, thus affirming the faith of Abraham as his own faith. This is a principle how we can affirm the faith of Jesus, so we can use the same faith Jesus has, as our own... Another way to say this is the master was supporting Abraham, just as the human supports Jesus using faith.
Faith is a concept about supporting a Divine Being. Secular uses of faith, like soldiers under a Centurion, here faith is a concept of supporting a Superior Authority (same idea).
Summary so far:
So faith is a gift of GOD, the strong flow over the nations of humans.
What is it? Nobody knew. It is a creative flow from GOD.
Mal 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings;
========
This verse says the YHWH is the same for both former rains and latter rains, His teachings are exactly the same, for YHWH-Jesus is the Author of both.
Did readers know that YHWH is the same Author of both OT and NT teachings?
Ps 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me
De 32:2 My doctrine “takings” shall drop as the rain,
Pr 1:5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning “takings”;
EGW” God means we shall trust in Him and enjoy His goodness. He lays out day by day before us and we must have eyes and perceptive powers to take these things in. However great and glorious the full and perfect deliverance from evil we shall realize in heaven, it is not all to be kept for the time of final deliverance. God brings it into our present life. We need daily to cultivate faith in a present Saviour. Trusting in a power out of and above ourselves, exercising faith in unseen support and power which is waiting the demand of the needy and dependent, we can trust amid clouds as well as sunshine, singing of present deliverance and present enjoyment of His love. The life we now live must be by faith in the Son of God. {TDG 62.2}
EGW” Just so has God given us the precious promises throughout his word. The Scriptures are open to us as the garden of God, and their promises are as fragrant flowers blooming all over that garden. God especially calls our attention to the very ones that are appropriate for us. In these promises we may discern the character of God, and read his love to us. They are the ground upon which our faith rests, the support and strength of our faith and hope; and through these we are to delight our souls in God, and breathe in the fragrance of heaven. Through the precious promises he withdraws the veil from the future, and gives us glimpses of the things which he has prepared for those who love him. And yet “eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” {RH October 11, 1887, par. 8}
EGW” Our faith in God’s precious promises should grow every day. If we hold the victory over the powers of darkness it must be by constant, persevering watchfulness and almost unceasing prayer. It must be an every day work. If we grow in grace and in knowledge of the truth, we must have the words of our mouth select, and seasoned with grace. God will help in our efforts. Angels will watch over us, and our soul will be like a watered garden. {RH January 10, 1856, par. 14}
Notice the amazing language and Hebrew English context she writes “the words of our mouth select” ? This is explaining the “take takings as words” , we are to select certain words in the teachings as precious promises.
EGW” The most precious promises of God are to be claimed, and held fast, by the exercise of faith. .... Take God’s promises as your own, plead them before him as his own words; and you will receive fullness of joy. {RH September 11, 1888, par. 11}
This is explaining the “take takings as words” , we are to select certain words in the teachings as precious promises.
EGW: "“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” This prayer is appropriate for every soul, and at any time and in every place may be offered to God in the name and through the merit of Christ. The thought that God can take a poor, sinful, sorrowful human being, and so transform him by grace that he may become an heir of God and joint heir with Jesus, is almost too great for our comprehension. If the sinner comes to God confessing his sin, and believing in Christ as his personal Saviour, he will be accepted; for the word of God is sure. It is yea and amen. ... {YI January 19, 1893, par. 1}
============
Mal 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings;
Isa 42:7 To open the blind eyes,....
or
Isa 61:1 ¶ The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Beware of presumption, the opposite of faith, where you are speaking from self, rather than from the humble meek heart. When you begin as a child on milky doses of faith, learn to speak simple requests to God and build on your experiences, so that you grow in your faith.
Shalom
