A Bible study of Natar and shamar
I wish to thank to the Lord in dreams for helping me resolve these difficult word meanings in Ancient Hebrew on Sabbath 13 June 2024.
Job 2:6 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; “process” his soul.
While many assume shamar is to save Job’s soul, the LORD allows the Opposer to process his soul, how far this is allowed is not clear in this context. Since the verb is an incomplete action, the Opposer is not allowed to process Job’s soul until all is over, leaving Job nothing but lees.
Ps 12:7 Thou shalt “process” them, O LORD, thou shalt [preserve ] them from this generation for ever.
Here both natsar and shamar are present, as a poetry parallel so these two words are similes of each other.
Why is this simile mentioned?
Ps 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
The verse before talks of the words of faith tried in the furnace of love , purified seven times.
Ps 12:3 The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things: 4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
Obviously if ye live by faith, your words are never your own, you are processing the words of the Lord using His faith powers and thus you eat or process His words, and His power, thus you are relationally yoked to His power. “Lord your words, not mine I speak”
People speaking using free will, living on self powers of human endeavour, are like a double heart, they speak like an empty storm, all bang and no rain. As the saying goes, “An empty vessel makes the most noise”
Biologically and spiritually we are to process His words, live in them, eat them, is as literal meaning as this word suggests. The word “obey” is a specific meaning, and has the idea to “obey using human endeavour” means nothing to the Lord. Instead you are to process His words using faith, eat them, just as Israel ate the manna in the desert, which is a biological simile of faith in the real life and how the word “shamar” functions.
Ps 16:1 “Process” me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
Ps 17:8 “Process” me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
Ps 18:21 For I “process” the ways of the LORD,
Ps 25:20 O “process” my soul, and deliver me:
Ps 37:28 ...the saints are processed for ever:
Ps 119:4 ¶ Thou hast commanded us to “process” thy precepts diligently.
Ps 119:9 ¶ BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by "processing” according to thy word.
The reader gets the idea, such a word meaning should fit all contexts, now for the completed action the noun, meaning “Processed”
Ps 75:8 For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the “processed” thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.
Footnote: When you make unfermented grape juice, the biological life in the juice processes the juice making the juice cloudy and with sediment, until finally there is the remains of that processed. A fully completed action by the biological agents in the medium.
Isa 25:6 ¶ And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the “processed” of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the “processed” well refined.
The completed action of processing unfermented grape juice is term “dregs” or “lees”, but Hebrew is not about labels of description, but about actions and verbs. Hence the word meaning “processed” means the “processing” of biological agents within the juice is completed within the time frame set for the juice. Making alcoholic fermented juice requires different biological agents, and different environmental factors, not commonly known in Ancient Bible times.
Jer 48:11 Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he has been quietly “processed” and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed.
Notice some humans are more gently processed and thus given special consideration since they are still youth and inexperienced.
Natsar Strong’s 5342 “Over the nations, the travelling head”
Comes in two actions, the uncomplete and the complete
meaning “preserve/preserved-bud”
Isa 11:1 ¶ And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a “Preserved-bud” shall grow out of his roots:
Isa 14:19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable “preserved-bud”,
Isa 60:21 Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the “preserved-bud” of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
Footnote: Wow, this has the picture of the straight ones are grafted into the Lord, as the “preserved-bud” suggests.
Da 11:7 But out of a “preserved-bud” of her roots shall one stand up in his estate,
Thank you Lord for a most difficult time dealing with noun and verb actions of words, that must have similar meanings. Jeff Benner left the noun meaning as an unknown connection to the root. With some Divine help via the Holy Spirit, I praise GOD for His help in this translation process.
Shalom

Job 10:12 Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath "processed” my medium.
Footnote: the medium (Hebrew ruwach - Holy Spirit) refers to the carrying of power by God, processing you, if you choose to allow this, is a function of the Holy Spirit, and processes in you your character)
Ps 12:7 Thou shalt “process” them, O LORD, thou shalt [preserve ] them from this generation for ever.

GOD “processes” man. GOD “preserves” man. Forever.
Does the reader catch what this verse is saying. The faith process is about you living under GOD's power and His processing of you forever, but you are relationally with GOD and thus the processing is via your will. You ask for this. You want this. You are therefore preserved forever by GOD.

Ps 16:1 “Process” me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
Here is a “faith-promise” “Process me O GOD”
Allow GOD to mix His Word in you so you are processed into the most tasting grape juice ever, ready to be savoured by all who wish to drink you, and enjoy your character. I would dare to postulate that character is not developed, it is processed by the Lord.
Footnote: Some assume the processing of biological agents makes juice alcoholic, but this is not the case for unfermented juice, the time of the process and the way the juice is processed is totally different.
Ps 18:21 For I “process” the ways of the LORD,
Ps 25:20 O “process” my soul, and deliver me:
Notice God will process our soul. This is a Faith-promise. Ask for this.
Ps 37:28 ...the saints are processed for ever:
