The confirmation of understanding Genuine Faith, came during July 2024; when we discovered two passages written by A. T. Jones, who was a pioneer SDA supporter of GOD and given special light on the righteousness of faith in 1888, agrees perfectly with the Author, who has been trained by the Lord since 2012, regarding genuine faith.
This confirmation came to the Author over 136 years later, when at random the Lord impressed the Author, to listen to a Pastor Charles Mills sermon on 'What is Living Faith', when the Pastor challenged me to the greatest person who has written on what genuine faith is, A.T. Jones.
I have always been drawn to Ellen White and the Bible for inspiration, and thus I had never read any writings of A. T. Jones before. That is until now.
A.T. Jones: "Anyone who seeks in the word of God for the specific things which God has provided and then bows upon that specific word for that thing, is asking according to the plainly expressed will of God, and knows that his prayer is heard and that he has the thing for which he prayed. So doing, the prayers will be always certain, the life will be filled with the direct gifts of God, and the faith will be sure and strong and will be ever increasing in strength ( www.1888mpm.org/files/Lessons%20on%20Faith-AT%20Jones.pdf ) (This writing is NOT published by EGW writings.org; not found on this website.)
ROB: “This is confirmation, I seek, that the Lord gave me light regarding salvation and faith independently and for many years, BEFORE I learned of A. T Jones and his writings. I have heard of Waggoner and Jones and their Righteousness by Faith thing in 1888, but our SDA Church just treated this as another idea of the past, soon to be forgotten, and after all, their messages were not inspired, so we thought? Or perhaps Satan attacked these enlightened men, that Jones and Waggoner both left the Church for various reasons, some years later.
In 1888 A. T. Jones wrote this passage above, is the clearest confirmation that our views of faith developed from January 2012 until 2024, as a gradual enlightenment from the Lord Jesus, is totally independent from the light given to A.T. Jones, yet we both agree exactly.
Further Mrs White also writes about this “saving-faith” which was really only discovered when the Author studied her messages more and more, and the Lord enlightened me over time since 2024, but the learning started way back in 2012. Notice A. T. Jones wrote his messages from the Lord over 136 years ago.
Question: Why doesn’t A.T.Jones write of “precious-promises” and talk of “saving-faith” in more sentences of his experience? This suggests to me A. T. Jones lost the experience gained from training in the “saving-faith” he proclaimed?
The "the specific things which God has provided" Ellen White calls "precious promises".
A.T. Jones: "This is justification by faith alone. This is justification by faith, without works. For the faith being the gift of God, coming by the word of God, and itself working in man the works of God, needs none of the work of sinful man to make it good and acceptable to God. The faith itself works in man that which is good, and is sufficient of itself to fill all the life with the goodness of God, and needs not the imperfect effort of sinful man to make it meritorious. This faith gives to man good works, instead of being itself dependent upon man for “good works.” It is not expressed by “faith and works;” but by “faith which works,” “for in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love” (Gal. 5:6). “Seest thou how faith wrought?” (Jas. 2:22). “Remembering without ceasing, your work of faith;” “and the work of faith with power” (1 Thess. 1:3; 2 Thess. 1:11). And, “This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent” (John 6:29). This is “the faith of God” which Jesus exhorts us to have (Mark 11:22, margin); which was manifested in him; and which by his grace is a free gift to every soul on earth."
Rob: I love the way Jones writes this: yes the faith power comes with it's own works, that as Ellen White says is "appropriated to us" by the Creative Power of God.
This is the second confirmation in writings by A. T Jones, that is totally in agreement to our understanding of genuine faith. This is a fantastic discovery.
Science requires the validation of theories of faith, before they are confirmed. We have this confirmation in a pioneer SDA leader of our Church over 136 years ago. However I am not sure Jones lived by the light he received, as there are no practical examples written of this light illuminating his experiences in Christ.
Thank you Lord for this light of understanding, now I pray others will enjoy the experience of genuine faith and become revived under the powers of Jesus. Shalom

Now we have the urge to get this fantastic light out to as many people who will receive the message and live under this wonderful faith of Jesus.
Child like faith is a real easy understanding, so the Lord has snatched many as firebrands from the fires and saved them for His kingdom, is a wonderful precious promise:-
Zec 3:2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
And
Am 4:11 I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD
1) Dear Lord rescue me as a firebrand plucked from your fires of love. 2) Dear God, rescue me when my character is just right according to my faith and support of your Son.
What we take takings as words, saying them unto Jesus, these precious promised are appropriated to yourself as works of Jesus in you changing your character to His. See how Ellen White uses the phrase "appropriated to yourself" in reference to faith process.
3) Dear Jesus, rescue me as a metal heated by the fires of your love, quench me in your Spirit so that the flint qualities of the Father is seen in us, for You are my Salvation, and I support your Words. Amen
Here are three prayers all different but are based on "take takings as words" and you support your Saviour as you speak these words to Him and are empowered specifically by His powers who asked for.
I love the Lord helping me with the Hebrew meaning of Shamar, a word often translated fuzzy as "keep" or "guard", the Word actually means to "process as a verb, or the processed lees as a noun". When this word is used as the verb form, we are in a constant state of being processed by God, and this is what faith is about, we are actually GOD to process us, because we are asking for this....
It is not like "obedience" which implies to me the idea you use your human powers to follow some rules implicitly... over time traditions have hacked into English word meanings. No, the idea of processing also includes a sense of obedience, but you are asking God to process you and you live under the immediate power when you ask, is the real understanding of faith in Jesus. Notice some verses:
Ge 2:15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to "work the garden" and to "process the garden".
Different meanings now O reader?
Dear Jesus. Let me process your Garden in me and enjoy the fruits your bear in me. Do not let me steal the Garden's glory to myself, for You are the power on my Garden so process me as your humble servant. Amen
Ps 16:1 Process me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust
When you ask GOD to process you, you are also trusting Jesus in this process. Both ideas are similes of each other, as the verse says.
Dear Jesus, process me, for I trust in your words, because I ask for this processing. Amen
Ps 17:8 Process me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings
Wow, again poetry similes. We are processed under the shadow of thy wings. Hmm? what does this poetry refer to? "under thy wings"?
Dear Jesus, process me as the apple of Your eye, and hide me under the wings of Your Spirit. Amen
Ps 25:20 O "process" my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.
Notice the poetry parallels here, similes of being processed by God.
Dear Jesus, process my soul: that I may live as you lived. Amen
Ps 37:28 For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are processed for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
Interesting idea, our character is processed forever, and never reaches the completed stage of processed leaving lees behind. This mean character is something processed for eternity, and proves faith is a process that also runs for eternity.
Dear Jesus I look forward to processing my character in you for all eternity/ Amen
Ps 37:34 ¶ Wait on the LORD, and "process" his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
Dear Jesus help me to process your way, not my way. Amen
Ps 105:45 That they might "process" his statutes, and "preserve" his laws. Praise ye the LORD. (KJV)
Dear Jesus how good it is to process your commands and preserve ourselves under your power. Amen
Ps 119:8 I will"process" thy statutes: O "leave" me not "many".
(some help from Jeff Benner lexicon)
Dear Jesus let me process your precious promises: for I see the ploughed home through the door of heaven there are many precious promises. Amen
Ps 119:34 Give me understanding, and I shall "preserve" thy law; yea, I shall "process" it with my whole heart.
Dear Jesus, how shall I preserve your words and process them, with my heart, for these precious promises are good for me. Amen
Ps 119:158 ¶ I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved; because they "processed" not thy "words of Jesus personified"
Dear Jesus, how sad it is for many who do not process the words of Jesus, Your Son, who demonstrated how to live by faith on the earth. Amen
Pr 3:26 For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall "process" thy foot from being taken.
Dear Jesus, process my feet that I walk your ways, and not my own way. Amen
Pr 6:24 To "process" thee from the "dysfunctional" woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.
Dear Jesus, process me when I speak your words to dysfunctional women, that I am not doing my will to speak, but your Words process me correctly. Amen
Pr 7:2 Process my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.
Dear Jesus, how glorious to process your commands because I ask for you to process me. Amen
Dear Jesus rescue me from my free will, because I have asked for this. Amen
Pr 19:16 ¶ He that "process" the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die.
Dear Jesus, how good it is to be processing your commands for they are precious promises of faith. Amen
Pr 22:5 ¶ Thorns and snares are in the way of the froward: he that doth "process" his soul shall be far from them.
Dear Jesus, process my soul so that weeds and snares do not trap me in any missing of your power. Amen
Song 3:3 The Processor that go about the city found me: to whom I said, Saw ye him whom my soul loveth?
Footnote" Here is a night watchman functioning as a Processor of the city sleeping.
Dear Jesus, as I sleep be my Processor and preserve me from the enemies of my soul, as I sleep. Amen
Isa 56:4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that "process" my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
Dear Jesus let me "process your Sabbath" that I may be "energized" when we share your Fruits from your Garden in me. Amen
Jer 9:4 "Process" every one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbour will walk with slanders
Dear Jesus let us process our brothers so we are not ensnared by them, your Words not mine we speak. Amen
Da 9:4 ¶ And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, "processing" the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that "process" his commandments;
Dear Jesus, help us to process your precious promises, for great and powerful is your flow of power in me, help us to respect the Provider of our Love. Amen
Ho 12:6 Therefore turn thou to thy God: "process" mercy and judgment, and wait on thy God continually
Dear Jesus how we turn to thee, processed by your mercy and judgement, we love thee continually. Amen
Dear readers, you have many examples of the process of "take taking as words" to seek the precious promises of Jesus and live immediately under their power because you asked for this and because Jesus will support you as you support Your Saviour, and bring glory to the Father of our love. Shalom
