God has revealed some basic questions for the Spiritual Seekers
(1) What is the purposeful function of Bible study?
Notice this does not mean you can read the Bible as mere sentences and words. Doing this will make you bored and find nothing in the Scriptures. You have to study the Bible? What exactly are we looking for ? Can you answer this question? From Scripture too please, not just some tradition and precept of men.
(2) What is the purposeful function of Prayer?
Notice this does not mean praying your words to God, otherwise if you try this idea your prayers may not rise higher than the ceiling of your bedroom. What is praying for? Can you answer this question? From Scripture too please, not just some tradition and precept of men.
We will leave you to ponder this. Shalom

OK some might respond with this:
Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
Nice Scriptures tell us of Jesus
Ac 17:2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
Nice Scriptures convince others of truth
Ac 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Nice Scriptures help us to know knowledge of things
Ac 18:24 ¶ And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
Nice Scripture make us mighty in deeds
2Ti 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
Nice Scriptures make us wise unto salvation
2Pe 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
Nice some Scriptures are hard to fathom
Do any of these answer our question properly ? Nice they are good answers, but no, something is missing.
What about prayer?
1Th 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
What does this mean?
Jas 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.
What does this mean?
Jas 5:16 The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
What does this mean?
1Jo 5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
What is a sin not unto death?
Ps 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. 11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. 12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. 13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee. 14 ¶ Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness. 15 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
Do readers understand all psalms are actually prayers. This is David's most important prayer for us, it tells you how to be saved and what the second birth process is all about, but how do we pray to receive this?
We will let readers ponder these two questions a while? Shalom

What ? Can no reader answer the question using a Bible verse?
1) What is the purpose of Bible study? 2) What is the purpose of Prayer?
This verse which we will soon show readers, is part of the science of salvation, the steps to being saved, the same steps to Christ, penned by Mrs White booklet many years ago.
Why is it no Pastor has ever wanted to know where in the Scriptures is the same Steps to Jesus as penned by Mrs White booklet Steps to Christ?
What are the steps listed in 'Steps to Christ'?
Chapter 1—God’s Love for Man Chapter 2—The Sinner’s Need of Christ Chapter 3—Repentance Chapter 4—Confession Chapter 5—Consecration Chapter 6—Faith and Acceptance Chapter 7—The Test of Discipleship Chapter 8—Growing Up Into Christ
(The other remaining chapters go over other points, and function not as steps to Jesus. Also there are finishing touches from Yashah that also speak of other poetry pictures and points as well, not as steps to Jesus.)
Where are these steps listed in the same order in the Scroll of Yashah?
Chapter 1—God’s Love for Man Ho 14:1 O Israel, Chapter 2—The Sinner’s Need of Christ Ho 14:1 return unto the LORD thy God; Chapter 3—Repentance Ho 14:1 for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity. Chapter 4—Confession Ho 14:2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: Chapter 5—Consecration Ho 14:2 say unto him, Take away all iniquity, Chapter 6—Faith and Acceptance Ho 14:2 and receive us graciously:
Chapter 7—The Test of Discipleship Ho 14:2 so will we render
Chapter 8—Growing Up Into Christ Ho 14:2 the calves of our lips.
Isn't this a fantastic discovery !! Doesn't this prove Ellen White messages are inspired.
When I read this little booklet at aged 17, I asked the Lord to show me where in the Bible are the same steps listed in the same order as 'Steps to Christ' list them. And Jesus showed me the answer. It's a fantastic discovery, and while I told a few Pastors about this, not one has ever been interested in this amazing find.
Now to answer for our dear readers these basic fundamental questions:
Question: What is the function of Bible study? Answer: Yashah 14:2 Take takings with you as words,
In laymen terms : Bible study is necessary to process FAITH. You have to find "precious promises" and commit them to memory. Faith is a simile of food in Scripture, called "What is it"? by Israel, which in Hebrew is "Man" and in Greek is "Manna". So the reason why we need Faith, it because Faith is a food, and we need to eat food everyday to live. You also need Faith Foods everyday to live. However there are many types of Faith Foods and you can eat whatever powers those Faith Foods promise, simply by asking. You choose. It's like digging into the verses finding treasures of power you are interested in, and by asking, producing in your own life. We suspect there are over 7,000 precious promises in the Bible. I remember Glen Coon's wonderful book, the 'ABC of prayer' suggests over 3000 precious promises, but does not detail them. So there is enough variety for every living character to be truly unique.
Question: What is the function of Prayer?
Answer: "Yashah 14:2 say unto him,"
In laymen terms: Prayer is necessary to process FAITH. You cannot claim specific power from Jesus, unless you ask, you simply speak His words, those words you "take as takings" from His Bible that you require for yourself, so you can do using His powers in your doings, because you asked for this power. You can never do anything using your own human powers, that would mean something to GOD, because you are already condemned because of past sins. Always ask for Jesus to empower you.
Does it surprise readers that salvation is all about FAITH?
Faith is a relationship food we eat daily. It makes us grow.
In Scripture faith was called "what is it"? the stuff is called man, or manna, the bread from Jesus from heaven. Faith is a real biological thing some were privileged to eat, faith comes from Jesus as a gift, you claim a 'faith food' and it's support simply by speaking the words that promise the support you need. Simple. Child like process.
However, beware of asking with a doubting mind, or a double mind, or selfish presumption, or if you are not humble or meek. Read James book on faith. Jas 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. (KJV)
Faith always works. When you claim a 'faith food' it works in you immediately. However this process has conditions. You have to be humble and meek. Anything you do that is not of faith is missing Jesus' power in you, so your doing something with you own human power, something that means nothing to God.
Faith is not some mental assent where you just believe. Nor is faith just grace only in Jesus, the idea that Jesus does everything for you. Sure Jesus empowers you in everything, without Jesus ye can do nothing, but you have to ask. Jesus will never violate your free will. You have to ask. If you don't ask, you will never receive.
Personalize you as you, and allow Faith in Jesus to direct your course (Pr 16:9) Here are some examples of practicing the faith process:-
1) Have a problem with eye candy? Use this precious promise " Lord no urge" Ex 20:14
2) Selfish in your love? "Lord make me a provider for others" Ex 20:6
3) Have problems with self? "Lord rescue me from my will that chooses self" Ex 20:3
4) Can't hear God talk? "Lord let me hear your still small voice" 1Ki 19:12 5) Can find time for God? "Lord wake me for worship at 4:30 am" Jer 33:3
6) "Lord your words I speak, not mine " Ex 4:15 also Isa 51:16
7) "Lord me walk as you walked- you are my example of faith" 1Pe 2:21
What a joy to have so many miracles of grace happen every day in your life, you can't wait for Sabbath to come to share what miracles of Jesus grace you received ... No more knowledge needed...just sharing of His fruits to others....learn to be intimate with Jesus...Amen
Shalom

So where in the latter rains (NT) does this same idea prevail?
Ro 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
Ro 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Heb 6:1 ¶ Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Heb 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must "have faith" that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
How do you seek Him? Through the process of faith...
Heb 13:7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. 8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. 9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
What are "divers" ? The term "divers" refers to humans who mix human endeavour with God's power, to make very special for others. Can you think of any Churches who do this kind of mixing of human power with God's power, in the name of faith, grace and believing in Jesus?
"diver diseases" those that have biological and demonic powers mixed with them.
"divers lusts" those that have biological and demonic mixing with them.
"divers miracles" those that have GOD Himself modifying the natural with supernatural elements.
"divers temptations" those that are deceptive, the mixing of the natural with the so called supernatural that is engineered by man. Examples of this would be the GMO foods, and the COV19 vaccines is another. There are more "divers temptations" on the way, where man plays around with "supernatural-engineering" over nature. For more ideas, see Ellen White below:
"divers grace" is the supernatural divine mixing of the human biological flesh to the Divine, when Jesus became a human being. An important concept to our salvation.
So the NT adds more details to the OT, and things for us to learn.
Ellen White says of "divers temptations"
“Count it all joy,” says the apostle James, “when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” God permits us to be placed under circumstances that will test us, to increase our love and to perfect our trust in him. Through self-denial and suffering with Christ, we grow in grace and in the knowledge of the truth. Trials will come, but they are an evidence that we are children of God. Paul passed through great trials, but he did not despair as though his Father in heaven were dead. He rejoiced in tribulation; for he desired, through participations in the sufferings of Christ, to be conformed to his image. Let this hero of faith speak for himself. He says, “I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake.” [2 Corinthians 12:10.] {GW92 441.2}
Hmm? is this word the same as "divers" in the OT? learning is always something in progress.
Now what about "prayer" and "faith"
2Th 1:11 ¶ Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
Jas 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. (KJV)
The FAITH process is far more important than people realize. Faith is not some mental assent, Faith is a doing concept, that involves various steps of procedures involving both prayer and Bible study. There are also certain conditions of faith because faith is relational and you are yoked to a Divine Saviour, so learn what these conditions are.
Shalom
