A Bible study: What does the heart “LAB” mean?
Looking at all verses in the first five books of Moses:
Ge 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Ge 6:6 ¶ And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
Does this mean GOD also has a heart?
Ge 8:21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
Notice man has a heart, and God has a heart.
Ge 17:17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?
Heart is the source of laughter, emotions.
Ge 24:42 And I came this day unto the well, and said, O LORD God of my master Abraham, if now thou do prosper my way which I go:
43 Behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass, that when the virgin cometh forth to draw water, and I say to her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water of thy pitcher to drink;
44 And she say to me, Both drink thou, and I will also draw for thy camels: let the same be the woman whom the LORD hath appointed out for my master's son.
45 And before I had done speaking in mine heart, behold, Rebekah came forth with her pitcher on her shoulder; and she went down unto the well, and drew water: and I said unto her, Let me drink, I pray thee.
46 And she made haste, and let down her pitcher from her shoulder, and said, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: so I drank, and she made the camels drink also.
The heart is a place where thoughts and emotions are stored, a communication center, a place where the you in you comes from.
Ge 31:20 And Jacob stole away unawares to Laban the Syrian, in that he told him not that he fled. {unawares...: Heb. the heart of Laban}
Stealing someones heart, their emotional center from them.
Ge 34:3 And his soul clave unto Dinah the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the damsel, and spake kindly unto the damsel. {kindly...: Heb. to the heart of the damsel}
The heart can speak kindly with loving emotions,
Ex 7:3 And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.
God hardens hearts, or can see the heart fully into the future?
Ex 15:8 And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.
Seems from this poetry that the heart is a depths of where emotions are stored and administrated by the Holy Spirit.
Ex 25:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.
Cheerfulness also comes from the heart.
Ex 28:30 And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron's heart, when he goeth in before the LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually.
These unknown things near the breastplate of judgement, over the heart, commune with God in some manner?
Ex 35:21 And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the LORD'S offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments.
The heart seems to be administrated by the Holy Spirit, who offers divine power to the human heart?
Ex 35:26 And all the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun goats' hair.
Wisdom is also a administrated function of the HS, who stirs the heart with divine talents and skills.
Ex 35:29 The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the LORD, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the LORD had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.
The heart is associated with free will
Ex 35:34 And he hath put in his heart that he may teach,
The heart is a center that allows one to teach, empowers attitude within us
Ex 36:2 And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whose heart the LORD had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it:
The heart is a center of attitude, passion, skill and wisdom within the depths of the man. And is a place administrated by the Holy Spirit.
Le 19:17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.
Hate is the opposite of the heart: heart the actual organ of the heart is mentioned.
Le 26:16 I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it
“heart” mistranslated as “soul” or “living-energy”
Nu 15:39 And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring
The heart can also seek other elohiym powers, such as human powers, or the Opposer as a power, to go whoring. So that we do not seek precious promises in the commandments, and thus go whoring after the flesh. For example rather than say “no biological urge” in our loneliness, we seek masturbation and heart thoughts of lusts to satisfy emptiness of our soul, we could have sought the Lord, but we long for a feminine partner instead. It is a free will choice to choose, so we choose to go whoring in our flesh instead.
Nu 32:9 For when they went up unto the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which the LORD had given them.
Hearts can be affected by peer group pressure, the bad attitudes of other human hearts influence human hearts.
De 1:28 Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there.
29 Then I said unto you, Dread not, neither be afraid of them.
30 The LORD your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes;
31 And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place.
32 Yet in this thing ye did not believe the LORD your God,
33 Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day.
The heart is the you in you, that seems to be placed there by God, and is administrated by the Grand Medium, so that use using free will, the human is able to choose and do emotions as the human pleases. The heart is able to choose other elohiym powers such as human power and Satanic power, rather than divine power, which according to the passage is via FAITH, as the hebrew word “AMAN” says “believe” and the associated miracles in the fire and night and the cloud by day, Israel failed to have FAITH in. It seems even GOD cannot change the heart, it is like your world view, the thing that makes you, you.
De 4:9 Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;
As humans we are to process our living-energy diligently, lest our heart, which is in the depth of the living-energy makes emotions and attitudes that teach us badly.
De 4:11 And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.
12 And the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice. (KJV)
De 4:11 And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with LOVE [out of] the HEART of heaven’s FLOW, with darkness, clouds, and thick SIMILES of SINNING.
12 And the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice. (Ancient Hebrew - showing some poetry similes and functions)
De 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
The living-energy is the whole of man, in which in the depths is the heart.
De 4:39 Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.
Our heart is to consider only a divine flow through it, because of our FAITH, we seek the LORD only, and none else.
De 5:29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!
“process thy commandments” see studies on shamar, meaning to process. This word comes in two actions, process and processed. The function of processing is to be doing with your free will and action of speaking his words so the faith principles of the ten words flow as a divine power into your heart. This process flows as you ask for this power. Saying for instance “no biological urge” empowers a divine flow and thus you do not go whoring after your flesh or the flesh of others sexually. Look for the faith principles in the ten words.
De 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. (KJV)
De 6:5 And thou shalt “PROVIDER LOVE” the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
As GOD is our Provider of love, so we too are providers of love and thus seek to become providers of love, because GOD is a provider of love.
De 6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
But how does one place a sign over the depths of the heart, or place literal boxes over the heart, the center of that which makes us ourselves? Such commands are meant as FAITH commands, something Israel fails to see, and modern readers fail to notice.
De 7:17 If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them?
18 Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt;
19 The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought thee out: so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid.
Notice the miracles and signs are literal demonstrations of FAITH in GOD, so the heart is the center of our us where our FAITH flows from, not the literals on the outside of the human, on the hands that do, but on the inside where the hands of power flow from, where via FAITH the powers of the divine flow through your hands to do.
De 8:2 And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.
3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
GOD wanted to test the heart, whether is calls on faith processes or not, for man lives not on biological food, but on the faith foods such as manna was a simile of, the faith foods in Scripture that man can live on biologically as easily as spiritually. For the heart is the deep source of the soul where all things flow from, that can be empowered by man choosing this flow because we continually ask for this as a faith process. “Lord empower me with your words, not mine”
“Let me speak your words and not mine”
“Lord remove the biological urge for feminine flesh, and seek the divine power of God instead, that promises greater love and greater passions from the heart”
De 8:5 Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.
The heart requires heavy handedness at times, for indeed the Hebrew word “plough” is a letter meaning to do “heavy handedness” at times, seeds for example “mean the ploughed head” so require heavy handedness to be prepared in our heart. Rejoice that the LORD does heavy handedness on your heart, so the seeds of His promises flow into the heart.
De 8:14 Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;
17 And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.
20 As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God.
(KJV)
How sad the supporter of GOD fails to heart the voice of GOD speaking to His soul. “No biological urge” one hears the voice but fails to ask, because one is trapped in the flesh and the need for the flesh, to long for the desire of flesh as a companion, but one has none, one that does not respond, so in our desire for human flesh rather than the flow of divinity from God, we do missing of Faith and thus go down the rabbit hole of transgressing and go whoring after flesh. We serve ourselves as gods of power, or seek the Opposer and his power of self, and thus we are not obedient unto the voice of the Lord that speaks in the heart, but one hears, but does not choose to ask.
Our own human powers mean nothing to the Lord, because our flesh is fallen and corrupt, and thus we are found missing Faith and Divine power from God in our doings.
De 10:12 ¶ And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
13 To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
14 Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD'S thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.
15 Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day.
16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.
Notice in our heart we are to process the commandments, ask for things in the ten words that contain faith principles. This passage is about faith, for who can Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart? Only divinity can do this? Who can place the words over the door of the heart ? Only divinity can do this? But we must ask daily for this.
De 11:16 Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;
Notice we turn to other power and bow down to them. The eyes for example fall down unto the screen of the IPad and we empower ourselves with human doings, into the late of the night.
De 11:18 ¶ Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes
De 13:3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
The ten words do speak to us, as words, do we hear them as the voice of the Lord to ask via Faith to do them, that divine powers flow into us?
De 15:7 If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:
8 But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.
9 Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the LORD against thee, and it be sin unto thee.
10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.
11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.
In this passage the heart is a centre of compassion and generous attitude to help the poor, the ones you are low and needy. As the second commandment says as a faith principle, I am your Provider, do not seek things as providers or other powers as providers, Be a provider for others as I am a provider for you. The attitude of Dorcas comes from the second commandment of the Ten Words, I am your provider. Provide for others.
As you provide for others, God will provide for you. As the Provide leads you to the green pastures and the cool waters, so you lead others as well to places of paradise.
De 15:9 Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the LORD against thee, and it be sin unto thee.
We take develop a wicked heart, stingy attitudes and dysfunctional doings.
De 17:17 Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold
Too many wives deprave the heart
De 17:20 That his heart be not lifted up above his brethren,
Our heart needs to be humble not proud
De 18:21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?
22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
(KJV)
Test the words of prophets.
De 19:6 Lest the avenger of the blood pursue the slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and slay him; whereas he was not worthy of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time past.
Beware of those who heart is hot in anger
De 20:8 And the officers shall speak further unto the people, and they shall say, What man is there that is fearful and fainthearted? let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren's heart faint as well as his heart.
Allow for those who heart has no courage
De 24:15 At his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it: lest he cry against thee unto the LORD, and it be sin unto thee
Give to the hearts as the heart depends unto your giving. Do not hold back or defraud.
De 28:28 The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:
Our hearts are administrated by the HS, thus we mock what our hearts sow, and GOD is not mocked by your doing and your two face pretending.
De 28:65 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
mind mistranslated as living-energy or soul. We can have a trembling heart.
De 29:3 The great temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles:
4 Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.
5 And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot.
Despite the faith miracles of the heart, the humans fail to see and hear, and we do not trust in the Lord
De 29:18 Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;
The heart can turn away from GOD
De 29:19 And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
beware of the imaginations of the heart.
De 30:2 And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;
Obey His voice? so our heart can live by faith? How?
De 30:6 And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
Here is the how? Notice it is a faith process.
De 30:10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
11 ¶ For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
This passage is explaining FAITH, as Romans 10 defines as Paul teaches Israel.
The commands comes to us via Faith Foods, we ask for. “Lord no biological urge”
“Lord let me provide for others, as you Provide for me”
“lord let me speak your words”
So ends Deuteronomy, a study of words concerning “heart”
Shalom for now
Looking at all verses in the first five books of Moses:
Ge 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Human hearts are dysfunctional continually. Jews use two verses and some twisting to mean that Yetser RA and Yetser TOV refer to the the GOOD in us as a influence and the BAD in us as an influence. And that there is no OPPOSER as a power of influence, except our own hearts, that can be empowered with RA or TOV.
There is a Hebrew word, not understood by Jews or humans, which controls our potentials within us, which is our epi-genetic potentials, that empower propensities for good or bad, with us. For more See spiritualsprings.org/ss-1076.htm

God hardens hearts, or can see the heart fully into the future?
Ex 15:8 And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.

Israel sees these as literal signs, literal doors of the house and literal boxes on the forehead head of our living-energy.
18 Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt;
De 8:14 Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;
15 Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents,
(Angels "seriphem" who are burning and function as serpents, ie the Opposer)
and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint;
16 Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;17 And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
De 11:16 Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;
Notice we turn to other power and bow down to them.
How does one bound up the words of Faith in the Ten Words that the principles of faith be as frontlets between the eyes? Between our eyes is the penal gland, deep underneath the brain, above the heart, where the gland does mystery communion to living things, through special powers of communication. Not as Israel assumed a little black box on the outside of the eyes of your head, but as a communion centre under the brain, above the heart, so we commune to GOD through our third eye, of the heart.
De 29:18 Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;
The heart can turn away from GOD
De 29:19 And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
beware of the imaginations of the heart.
De 30:2 And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;
